Hands-on Introductory Courses: These courses are led by a student volunteer who has "expertise" in the area and are very active and hands-on. For example, June 30 we had an "Intro to Computer Hardware" class in which Eric Hobbs divided the attendees into two groups and the two groups built a computer. July 9, we have an "Intro to Electronics" class (Robotics!), July 13th an "Intro to Computer Programming," and July 17th an "Intro to Web Programming."
Fun Nights: Every weekend, usually a Friday or Saturday, we host a Fun Night. So, LAN parties, social, basic engineering competitions (build a catapult, a boat, a mousetrap car!), movie nights (House/October Sky/Mythbusters, anyone?) usually followed with intense Xbox gaming, and whatnot.
Smaller fun events: These occur during the actual open hours of StudentRND. Some of them are kind of a mix between the lessons and the fun nights in which people get a hands-on fun with science-y things (for example, our Dry Ice Day -- pictures just posted on the StudentRND facebook). Others are just plain fun (T-Pain day -- autotune anyone?) or whatever.
