Apples vs. Oranges Tower Defense
Apples vs. Oranges is an idea for a flash game to make at the StudentRND Workshop. The game can be auctioned off at FlashGameLicense and is a good opportunity for unconventional fundraising.

Getting Started
We have FlashDevelop installed on Lime. If you wish to install it on your own computer, the files are on Junon under \Files\Software\Flash\. FlashDevelop is a very good tool for creating flash applications and is a good alternative to Flash CS5. FlashDevelop creates .swf files by using the open source flex SDK.
Background story
The apples and oranges want to keep each other from taking their profit in the Supermarket. The player can choose which fruit they wish to play with at the start of each game.

Research lab
Each of these technologies can be upgraded 3 times at the end of each level. Each upgrade will affect the effectiveness of your towers' effects.
Apples
- Overgrowth (For Basic Towers)
- Increase the fire rate of Apple Trees by 30%
- Seeder (For apple seeds)
- Improve the damage of Apple Seeds by 1/2/3
- MORE SUGAR! (For Apple Cider)
- Improves slow effect by 10%/20%/30%

- Decrease Charge creation time by 1 seconds at all levels

Oranges

Special Support
Apples
- Fruit Basket
- Deploy on creep path to capture (kill) the next 3 incoming fruits
- Fertilizers
- Instantly increase the fire rate of all towers by 50% for 12 seconds
- Apple Airstrike
- Deal decent (40-60) damage to random areas in the map (damages creeps, not towers)
- Applocalypse
- Send a blast of pure appleness that wipes out every enemy on the map
Orange
- Fruit Basket
- Deploy on creep path to capture (kill) the next 3 incoming fruits
- Soda Mines
- Place on creep path. When a creep walk over the mine the mine will explode, either dealing 35 damage in a small AOE OR have a 10% chance of shooting creep into the air and 1-hit KO (splatters on the camera)
- Hesperides's Blessing
- Instantly increase damage of all towers by 10 for 12 seconds
- Codling Moth
- Deploy a fast and deadly insect that will seek apples in a small radius. When it finds it target. it will drill into it and make a violent exit after 1 seconds, killing the victim. It will them look for its next target in the area. If it can't find a victim in 15 seconds, the creature dies.
